Calculate the necessary speaker size

Do you want to calculate the necessary speaker size yourself? No problem.

The starting point is the desired sound pressure level at the listening position. The listening position is assumed to be far away from the loudspeaker:

•   95 dB we use for standard loudspeakers.
• 100 dB can be experienced in discos.
• 110 dB is experienced with some distance to the stage at rock or pop concerts.

Floor standing speakers for top-selected room

If the floor standing speaker is very close to the wall, a wall loudspeaker may be recommended instead.
